This “Little Bug” baby shower transformed a vacant home into a cozy, vibrant haven, ready to welcome baby bug into the world in the most charming way.
The entrance set the tone with a custom sign featuring whimsical bugs displayed on a linen banner, alongside a charming tripod swing from Loot Littles. To enhance the playful atmosphere, we layered mismatched pillows and blankets in bright patterns, bringing together the theme with a burst of colorful plants and florals that framed the seating area.
Inside, the tablescape morphed into a living garden, surrounding each place setting with lush greenery, flowers, moss, and—of course—a few friendly bugs.
The once-empty stairway nook was repurposed as a gift display, complete with cascading ribbons in every color of the rainbow, bug-themed books, presents with custom-wrapping paper presents showcasing our hand-painted insects, and an adorable baby buggy filled with party favor bags and custom tags for guests to take home.
The COhost team transformed the space, carefully selecting furniture, rugs, pillows, plants, and decor to create a warm, lived-in vibe that made everything feel cozy and welcoming.
A bonus room became a sweater design station where guests could add their own bug patches to knit sweaters for the baby. It was a fun, hands-on activity that would leave the new parents with cozy, bug-inspired keepsakes for months to come.
Our cake designs from Morgan Pearl Cakes mirrored the theme, featuring the same charming painted bugs seen throughout the event’s decor—on the signage, wrapping paper, and stationery. And to tie in even more nature-inspired elements, we created a fresh vegetable display on a marble coffee table, designed by The Board Bae. This stunning arrangement was elevated with resin bugs and ceramic mushrooms, completing the whimsical, nature-filled atmosphere.
